Conestoga Dental Centre provides professional and compassionate dental services in Brampton. Our team, led by Dr. Omar Hassani, is dedicated to making your dental experience as comfortable and pleasant as possible. We offer a wide range of dental services, including preventive dentistry, sedation techniques, cosmetic dentistry, wisdom tooth extraction, root canal, periodontics dentistry, and pediatric dentistry.
Your Partner in the Canadian Dental Care Plan!
At Conestoga Dental Centre, we are pleased to welcome patients covered under the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP).
The CDCP is a federal program designed to help make dental care more affordable for eligible Canadian residents who do not have access to private dental insurance. Applications are currently open for the 2026–2027 benefit year, and eligible Canadians of all ages can apply.
Who Qualifies for the CDCP?
You may qualify if you meet all of the following requirements:

You do not have access to private dental insurance or coverage

You and your spouse or common-law partner, if applicable, have filed your Canadian tax returns

Your adjusted family net income is less than $90,000
-
You are a Canadian resident for tax purposes
Eligibility must be confirmed each year.
What Does the CDCP Cover?
Depending on your individual needs and the CDCP's coverage criteria, eligible services may include:

Dental exams and X-rays

Professional cleanings and preventive care

Fillings
-
Root canal treatments
-
Periodontal (gum) care
-
Dentures
-
Extractions and certain oral surgery services
Some treatments may require preauthorization or have frequency limits.
How Much Does the CDCP Cover?
The amount covered depends in part on your adjusted family net income.
Those with an adjusted family net income below $70,000 have no CDCP co-payment on eligible services at the CDCP-established fees. Those with incomes between $70,000 and $89,999 may have a co-payment.
It's important to know that the CDCP may not cover the full cost of every dental service. There may be additional costs if our regular fees differ from the CDCP-established fees or if a treatment is not covered by the plan. We'll help you understand your coverage and any expected costs before proceeding with treatment.
Already Approved?
Once you're approved, check the coverage start date provided by the Government of Canada before booking care under the CDCP. Coverage cannot be used for treatment received before that date.

We provide wisdom tooth extraction to alleviate pain or discomfort caused by impacted wisdom teeth.

Our root canal treatment can alleviate pain and save your tooth if the area containing the pulp is damaged or infected.
